Dr. Mark Hamanishi is a passionate orthodontist with more than 13 years of experience helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Known by many as “The Aligner Guy,” Dr. Hamanishi has developed a reputation for his expertise in clear aligner therapy, including Invisalign®, and has treated thousands of patients ranging from children and teens to busy professionals seeking a discreet way to straighten their teeth.

While he loves the science and technology behind orthodontics, Dr. Hamanishi believes that creating great smiles is ultimately about people. His approach combines clinical excellence with genuine connection, ensuring every patient feels heard, understood, and comfortable throughout their smile journey. Whether treating a simple alignment concern or a more complex orthodontic case, his goal is to deliver exceptional results while making the experience enjoyable and stress-free.

As a recognized educator and speaker in the orthodontic community, Dr. Hamanishi is committed to staying at the forefront of modern orthodontics and digital treatment planning. Dr. Sheena grew up in North Delta and completed both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees at the University of British Columbia. After graduating from dental school, she spent four years practicing as a general dentist in Northern British Columbia, where she gained valuable experience providing comprehensive patient care.

Driven by her passion for orthodontics, Dr. Sheena returned to UBC to complete her three-year orthodontic specialty training, along with a Master’s degree in Craniofacial Sciences. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an active member of the British Columbia Society of Orthodontists, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Sheena is committed to delivering modern, evidence-based orthodontic care and enjoys creating customized and efficient treatment plans for patients of all ages.

Outside the office, Dr. Sheena loves staying active and travelling to new countries. She is an avid hiker and has taken on unforgettable adventures, including climbing Mount Fuji at sunrise and trekking the Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Italy, and Switzerland. As a big food enthusiast, she loves exploring new restaurants and coffeeshops.
